Event 107 : Chabeel-2019 – Pinked with love
With an aim of community bonding, tri–city based & State awarded NGO Tammana successfully organized its 107th Event, CHABEEL 2019 on Sunday, 23rd June near Bus Stand Road, Sector 43, Chandigarh.
The Founder President, Ms. Isha Kakaria shared that ‘The venue was chosen so that countless passengers & autorickshaw, rickshaw & busdrivers around could be served the sweetened water in this fuming temperature. Serving the society for more than a decade now, one of the prime motives of NGO Tammana to organize Chabeel every year is to promote oneness where everyone is served without any barriers of religion or caste.‘
The stock collection in kind was taken care through varied stock centers spread accross Chandigarh, Panchkula, Dhakoli, Doraha, Zirakpur & Mohali. While the contributions in cash helped in arranging tentage, ice, other raw materials.
Social Media too played an important role in the succesful collections by TAMMANA; that eventually; helped the NGO serve over a thousand longing throats in the scorching heat.
Apart from serving with hygiene , The Pink Brigade ensured no littering around. The running traffic was not disturbed either. Chana Prasad was also distributed.
Member Vandana shared that this was her first Chabeel at the NGO and she was very excited to experience the same as Chabeel promotes unity and service for humanity which indeed inculcates a sense of oneness among people who serve as well as those who are served.
Another Member, Mr. Amanjit Singh Kohli shared that Chabeel aims not only to quench the thirst of the passersby but also for raising public spirits and giving a deeper message of eternal optimism. It also gives a message of serving one another every day for life.
NGO wrapped up the event & ensure the place as tidy before leaving.
